Sharon has worked in the government and community sector for the last 20 years. Her formal background is in Social Work and she later completed a Masters in Community Management at the University of Technology (UTS) Sydney. Sharon initially started her career in working hands on in respite and residential disability programs. She spent several years in local government working in community services specifically with young people, older people and people with disabilities. Sharon has worked in senior management roles in the non-profit sector over the last few years.

Gayna has worked in the government and community sector for the last 11 years specialising in Employment, Marketing and Building Relationships. Gayna held the position of Marketing Manager for Ability Options Employment which was ranked 3rd nationally for DES Providers. Her team was responsible for delivering employment opportunities to all Sites in AOE for people with disabilities. After 7 years at AOE where she wrote and implemented AOE’s New Service Model she moved into the role of NSW Account Manager for Wise Employment an International DES and Job Network Company. There she was responsible for building relationships with Corporate Companies linking their recruitment needs to all sites of Wise Employment NSW.

Kathleen has worked in a variety of industries including gaming technology, insurance and publishing. Over the years she has also developed a strong involvement in the local school and sporting community. Kathleen has been with HillsSIP since 2007 and has worked across the Structured Workplace Learning (SWL) and Career Advice Australia Initiative. She joined the Partnership Broker team in 2010 and brings to the group extensive experience in the areas of training, marketing, communication and sales. Kathleen has been instrumental in facilitating partnerships with schools and business including Cherrybrook Technology High School, Castle Towers, Automotive Group Training, Inala, Mission Australia, Youth Connections-Hornsby, Ryde TAFE, Event Cinemas, Castle Hill High School and more.

Debbie was employed in the in the commercial recruitment/employment sector for a period of 12 years, where she was responsible for developing sustainable relationships with employers, community service organisations and government agencies and creating innovative recruitment strategies. Debbie was quickly promoted in Strategic Management positions, managing teams of consultants while promoting the service to employers and community. Working extensively with Community Service Organisations ignited Debbie’s passion for assisting disadvantaged individuals in accessing open employment opportunities and relevant support services. Debbie returned to University to gain her Graduate Certificate In Mental health Practice and Masters degree in order to strengthen her clinical skills and knowledge of health promotion and community development. During this time Debbie was employed with a specialist Disability Employment Service, providing case management, vocational counselling and job placement services to a diverse client group. Debbie has recently joined the HillsSIP team and brings a strong understanding of the issues affecting youth and families within the funding area, employment networks and a creative approach to strengthening resources within our local community.

Paola Hatton joined HillsSIP in October 2010 as Office Manager. She has worked in various medium to large organisations, including construction, architectural, manufacturing, retail, welfare and community. Paola shares an interest in the future of our young people. She is a mother of two girls, 11 and 16 and lives locally. Paola brings with her over 25 years of administrative and office management experience. Paola has taken courses in management, communication and supervision and enjoys a hands on role within organisations.
