As a local community partnership HillsSIP relies heavily on commitment from industry to participate in our many activities within schools as a speaker, mentor, interviewer and presenter, and to accommodate students in their workplace for work placement or site visits. This is all done by industry at no cost to our partnership or to the schools.

Employers participating in our programs often indicate that their main reason for volunteering their services is just a desire to help young people. Many remember the difficulties they had themselves when trying to make career decisions, or they have had experiences with their own children trying to give them useful advice.
